63039kms (40,000miles) DOM oct 1969 One of 4701 motorcycles manufactured that year. This bike has been completely refurbished and could be considered "as new." ENGINE: New piston rings, valves ground, timing chain replaced, all seals and gaskets replaced, silicone rocker cover and oil pan gaskets fitted, new breaker points, condensor, diode board and wires, oil pump 0-ring replaced. Carburetors stripped and cleaned, new o-rings and bowl gasket fitted. DRIVE TRAIN: New clutch, pressure plate, spring, throw-out bearing and piston, all transmission bearings and seals replaced, rear drive main seals replaced, rubber driveshaft bellows replaced. SUSPENSION: Front forks completely rebuilt with new seals, bumpers, and springs, new fork gaiters, Progressive Suspension springs fitted, fork oil replaced. FRAME: powder coated, steering head bearings replaced, swing arm bearings and seals replaced, All new cables and rubbers, new hand grips, foot rest rubbers and Bumm mirrors. Wheels: new wheel bearings, new Metzler tires and Michelin tubes. KRAUSER rack and luggage. The R60, having an almost square bore and stroke is a sweet running motor which likes to be revved. It is fitted with stock 9:1 pistons so needs premium gasoline. The bike is very handsome in its original livery and is ready to ride across the country, or commute to work.
