1977 BMW R100 with a new clutch assembly, new Michelin tires, and an LED headlight all installed this last winter.
11,000 miles have been put on since a complete frame up build in `09 which included an engine, transmission, & final drive overhaul at the time of the build. Ignition system has been upgraded with an ENDURALAST electronic ignition system. The new speedometer is matched to the 34/11 final drive. The frame, sub-frame, braced swing arm, Tele-flex fork brace, and bar risers were all powder coated at the time of the build. The touring tank was resealed, Don Vesco fairing, fenders, and battery covers painted BMW maroon; with the tank, fairing, and front fender pinstriped. 40mm Bing carbs feed the big valve heads. A sweet exhaust note is provided by a pair of stock looking stainless steel mufflers and stainless steel fasteners were used throughout.
The front end is a dual disk ATE set up with a 16mm handlebar mounted master cylinder and all brake lines are stainless steel. The CC billet top tree and stock lower trees are both polished to a chrome finish. The Tele-flex fork brace provides a solid feel to the front end, while the custom braced swing arm keeps the rear tracking as it should. Blinker bodies were upgraded to alloy units also polished to a mirror finish. The bike is steered with a pair of S-bars. Panniers are lockable Wixom, with additional brake lights mounted at the rear of the bags.
The bike rides on a pair of painted snowflake wheels, WORKS Performance rear shocks & Progressive front springs. Rear sets are by Tronconi & Novelli.
