Make sure your bike is ready to roll this summer by stopping by the
garage of expert mechanic Chis Sidah (MotoTrekker). Chris is opening
his garage to all airhead riders who are interested in tapping into
his (and others) knowledge of airheads. Chris is a professional
mechanic who has offered to open up his shop for fixin airheads. Last
year we had a wonderful day. A bunch of BMW riders showed up and
helped in fixing up some bikes. Chris made a delicious lunch. It was a
wonderful day.

To get to Chris's garage-
From 101: Traffic Way off ramp, Go West around the Catholic church and
out Santa Lucia Rd. all the way to the end, Left on El  Monte to the
top of the hill. Look for the sign on the right about a mile up the
road, Follow the graded dirt drive way to the shop. From Cerro Alto
campground: East on Hwy. 41 to San Gabriel Rd. Left to Santa Lucia and
left as if coming from 101.

Chris will provide the shop with two lifts, a work stand, tire
changer, compressor and air tools, carb stix and miscellaneous hand
tools. He keeps a selection of Motul oil products and oil filters in
the garage. He has a good working relationship with Fresno BMW and
could have a supply of other parts available given a weeks notice.
 
I have the spokes needed to short out the spark plugs to tune carbs.
 
Atascadero is located on the beautiful Central Coast of California. It
is half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles off of Highway 101.
There is some beautiful riding in the area. Closest camping is at
Cerro Alto campground about 5 miles away east of Atascadero off
Highway 41 on the way to Morro Bay. The closest BMW dealers are in
Santa Cruz and Fresno. There are other motorcycle shops in Atascadero,
Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo.
