MOON OVER MAUPIN
All Airheads are cordially invited to the 4th Annual Fireflight Rendezvous.  This 3-day event will be held in one of the favorite sporting and cultural meccas of Northern Oregon, the lovely hillside village of Maupin.  Pitch your tent in the scenic City Park, beside the crystal clear waters of the Deschutes River.  Thrill to the varied scenic byways, with both guided and self- guided tours available.  Join in our ever popular Impromptu Tech Sessions: "learn if you dare".
2nd weekend of September 2006
Easy day rides to high desert country or towering forests.  Vast rolling hillsides, or historic mining towns await your arrival. take some time for swimming or River Rafting the rapids.  (this is one of the most popular rafting areas in the state).  Go fishing or lay back and enjoy the quiet of the campground.  Walking distance to shops, food, cafes, bistros, or motels.
Lane and Nancy will be there with the German chuckwagon:
Friday Dinner:
    Spaghetti & Meatballs with all the trimmings for $5
Saturday Breakfast:
    Eggs, bacon, roll & coffee for $4
Saturday Dinner:
    Pork Ribs, coleslaw, potato salad, drink & desert $7
Camping is $5 per night, per person, payable on arrival.  Cheap at twice the price!  Pay showers are available at the site, bring plenty of quarters.

From Portland: 26 E to 216 E to 197 S, 
From the South: find your way to hwy 97, then N to 197 N,
From the North:  I-90 E to 97 S to 216 W to Deschutes River Rd S 8 mi or
                         from Portland area I-84 E to 197 S
