Barnsley Motor Werks Spring Tech Day
Technical Assistance by Rick Jones of Motorad Electric. Matt Richards from Boxerworks Parts Co. will bring some new and used parts. We expect John Swift, a restorer of distinction, to also be present.
We can make two or three wooden benches available. We can help with special tools. We keep a stock of most parts or bring your own. Bring your fluids and regular tools. We can dispose of your fluids but take, old tyres and batteries away as we can’t readily dispose of these.
Drinking is fine but so is wisdom. Drunkenness is selfishness, so be fair to others. No pets, our dogs like to kill them. No attitudes please –respect and fellowship.
Perhaps, bring some back up food. Franklin, the nearest town, is fourteen miles away. We shall provide some lunch and dinner, as best we can.
Facilities are a little primitive. The country is hilly and there are only a few tent sites. Overnighters are welcome to kip in the barn. There is a plywood floor.
If we don’t get pissed off and don’t piss off the neighbours and if you enjoy yourselves, then we’ll try to make this a regular event.
Highway 100 runs from Tallapoosa (I-20 right before the Alabama border) south to Bowdon (a dozen miles, about) and then south to Franklin. Ephesus is approximately half way between Bowdon and Franklin. At the south end of the village is a petrol station. Turn west on Alabama Rd for less then half a mile. 400 Alabama Rd is on your right, opposite of a hay field.
