Bad to the Beach Rendezvous (CA)
30 October - 1 November 2009

Once again we'll be holding this incredibly popular event.  Tucked right at the end of the Northern California camping season, we head to the beautiful Mendocino coastline for a delightful camping weekend.  Being after Labor Day, the roads are usually empty, the campgrounds quiet, and the quaint little coastal towns have shed their summer tourists and are once more quaint and quiet.  Join us at the Manchester Beach KOA on Highway 1 just north of Point Arena for two nights of camping, riding, and relaxation.  John and Janet Barron are once again planning on serving their excellent stew on Friday night, and the KOA staff will be hosting their usual Oktoberfest/Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, complete with keg microbrew.  There are plenty of local riding destinations for breakfasts and lunches, or bring your own vittles for cooking in the campground.  Like all KOA's, there are flush toilets and hot showers.  Weather on the northern California coast can be unpredictable any time, but especially so this late in the year.  We've generally been pretty lucky with the weather, but you should bring at least basic rain gear and some warm clothing regardless of the weather report.  We'll be there and having fun whatever the weather may bring.  It's important for the group meals on both Friday and Saturday night that we have a reasonably accurate count, so please contact me ahead of time at 650-654-8996 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it (e-mail is best) if you plan on attending, and with any questions you may have.  See you there!
