| Join the Oregon Airheads for our 3rd annual "Fireflight Rendezvous" in historic Maupin, Oregon. This years bash= more of the same hijinks, more of the same laid back camping, but could there be a better camp stew? This is a come as you are, bring yer own food, booze, etc. etc. There will be a catered dinner available for $4 for any interested parties, Saturday evening. Learn the ways of our ancestors. Learn the ways of airheads everywhere. Learn the difference between a carbohydrate and a carburetor. Ride to Maupin City Park on the Deschutes River for some relaxing times! River rafting, great day rides, historical towns, nearby fossil beds. Good camping area, full facilities, Local motels and restaurant next to campground... 2nd weekend of September, 2005 DIRECTIONS: From Portland: 26E to 216E to 197S. From the South: I-5 to 97N to 197N, another 60 miles from Metolius location. From North: I-5 to I-90E to 97S to 216W to Deschutes River Rd. S. 8 mi. Or I-84 from PDX area, to 197S.
