WHAT: Cassoday Overnighter WHEN: 5-6 November 2005 WHERE: City Park; Cassoday, KS WHO: Kansas Airheads (hosts) and guests HOW MUCH: Free. Full refund if not satisfied. WHY: Excuse to campout, have some field games (for Airhead prizes), gath'round a campfire (it's November afterall), sleep late, and still be the first bikes of 100s there for first Sunday breakfast at the Cassoday Cafe. CAMPING FACILITIES: Plan/pack like you were going to camp at a national park (BYO). As per phone conversation with Jim (city), the City Park has an outhouse (pit john), water (hose), a couple electrical outlets, and a couple raised BBQ grills. Having a fire pit and adult beverages is ok provided everyone's responsible about (e.g. they've had wedding receptions there before). Cassoday Lodging (302 E Main, 620-735-4317) has pull-thru RV spots and camping at $5/night (elec, water, fire pits w/ free wood) and is kitty corner from the Cafe. Before you think this is "closer," note that this is a s-m-a-l-l town and the distance between the city park and cafe is less than the walk across most rally grounds.SERVICES: Cassoday's Country Store (620-735-4423) has gas, lite groceries and beer. Hours are 6:30-8 Sat and 7:30-7 Sun. There's a McDonalds five miles down the ‘pike (I-35) and El Dorado has the nearest "big" grocery store (18 miles).
