What is the AirList (Airheads Mailing List)? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Saturday, 18 June 2005
The AirList is an email distribution list for Airheads to exchange information about themselves and their bikes, technical information, product finds and reviews, event & gathering information, trip reports, and other riding- and boxer-related information. It is not for spamming, flame wars, personal exchanges, etc.

Everything you send to the AirList is sent to everyone else subscribed to the list. You can choose to receive everything sent to the list as separate email messages, or you can receive a digest of several list messages sent to you in a single email message.

Please subscribe to the AirList and read a few messages before posting, just so you get a feel for how it works. The list administrators are David Willson #948, Carol Baker and Mike 'Griz' Murray #548. Please direct all inquiries regarding the list to them via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Hello and Happy New Year to all,

I am new to this group so please bear with me. I have a one owner 83 R100RT bought new in '84. I have not ridden it since 2000. Before storing it in my garage I had a full service done (53K miles)and drained all the gas out of the fuel system. Ocasionally I turn the engine over by hand (no battery installed), squirt a shot of WD40 down the plug holes and pump up the old tires. I think I did a pretty good job getting it ready for storage.

OK, I would like to put the bike back on the road during the summer of '08 or '09. I live in Southeast Michigan and am interested in meeting someone, or a group, who can help me get the bike updated and serviced without having to pay dealer service prices. Can the club help me?

Thanks in advance.......
