The Airmail is sent using United States Postal Service (USPS) Standard Rate Mail. The USPS does NOT forward Standard Rate Mail – they effectively throw it out. Yes, really. So if you have a forwarding address, either temporary or permanent you will NOT receive your Airmail.
To ensure proper delivery contact the membership chairman at least one full month prior with the new address as we only keep ONE address on file per membership. For example the new address needs to be received before January 1st in order to properly deliver the February issue.
If you don’t make the change in time the Airheads Beemer Club does pay for return postage; these three things can happen:
- USPS ignores the RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED and still throws it away. Since we have no way of knowing otherwise, the club assumes the member received it.
- USPS returns the mail with a TEMPORARILY AWAY message. At which point the club will stop mailing Airmails. When and if the member contacts us, we extend the membership for the number of issues missed less one to cover the return postage paid.
- USPS returns the mail with the new address. We change the membership records to the new address for the next regular mailing of Airmail.
Address changes can be submitted using Address Change Form, sending an email to
