The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is an annual, world-wide ride held in September. It is a ride used to raise funds for charity, namely prostate cancer research. Riders dress up in gentlemanly attire for the ride so it's a lot of fun, it contributes to changing motorists attitudes toward motorcyclists, and it raises money for men's health research. Some of the rides in cities doing this get quite large with hundreds of riders, however most are modest in size and quite easy to organize. This could possibly be from a local bike shop to a local eatery. Your local group or chapter should consider organizing a ride in your locale.

Sunday, Sept 24 is the official world-wide ride day for 2017. To date something like $5 million US dollars has been raised to fight a disease that will affect 1 in 9 men.

This is worthwhile.

So if you have not decided to ride your local DGR yourself, but like the idea and would like to lend so small show of support, then CLICK HERE to make a contribution to help my fund raising efforts.

Most of my contributions have been in the $3 to $5 range, which is great ! The link will take you to a payment page (just like any other online payment page) which accepts credit cards or PayPal.

If you don't have your own DGR page, then any help would be greatly appreciated.
