I think we had a pretty good year in 2018, the highlight being a first time event that Mike Cummings and I organized. That being "Airheads at the Peoria Grand national TT race". I am confident that we will do that again, so mark your calendars for mid-August. The provisional calendar for the Peoria Motorcycle Club indicates race day as August 17, 2019. Read more about the PMC here. http://www.peoriamotorcycleclub.net

We also had an unfortunate incident at the Pontiac camp-out when a couple of interlopers rolled up on us and insisted that we buy some firewood from them. I have a few ideas on how to deal with a repeat of that incident. An axe handle at the ready comes to mind.

There is also the Pecatonica swap meet the last weekend in April, and Dave Fahringer's spring tech day the first weekend in May. If anyone else has ideas or an interest in any kind of event, be sure to get in touch with me.

Now would be the time to make plans for 2018. I will soon be sending a mass e-mail to the membership list to seek event ideas and/or plans.

Mike Cummings has expressed an interest in organizing a Rt. 66 ride. Any thoughts on that?

As far as "Barley Therapy" is concerned, Al was never keen on promoting the combination of consuming alcoholic beverages and riding. I also take a dim view of that behavior. However, other states do it, and I firmly believe in personal responsibility. If any one wants to organize a "Barley Therapy", I will publicize it on this website calendar. I will not likely attend due to my geographic location and work schedule demands.

That's all for now. All members are encouraged to contact me at any time with ideas and requests.

I just want to thank all Airheads who participated in our events for 2016. Even with the passing of our beloved former A.M., Al Sloan, you, the members continue to make our club a top-rate organization. Many thanks to Ed Dybala, Bruce Faubel, Dave Fahringer, and Mike Cummings for hosting tech days in 2016.
I want to look ahead to next year. I have spoken with "sidecar Terry" about the camp-out in Pontiac, IL. We agree to keep the 2nd weekend in June date on the calendar. Apart from that, I want to make sure that tech days and other events are scheduled and properly promoted and published in Airmail. Since there is a 6 week lead time for publication, I would need to submit events for May by mid-February to make sure they are listed in 2 Airmail issues. I want every member to feel free to contact me for information or planning for 2017.
