Hello all, I recently acquired a 1983 R80G/S that has a 1975 R90/6 motor installed.  I just picked up a low mileage (probably previously wrecked) 1985 R80RT from RePyscle BMW auction from which I plan to use the motor to support my R80G/S restoration.  However, I thought I would reach out to this group in the very remote chance someone is sitting on the original motor.... 🙂  

History as follows:  Title issued in 2002 to Norman Kaeseberg at independent dealership in Chicago (address 1901 S Western Ave).  Apparently the bike had suffered a catastrophic cylinder failure (rod/piston/cylinder/head).  Bob Honemann (Independent Dealership in Chicago) installed a R90/6 motor which is still in the bike and running strong today.  Bob does not have the original motor and believes it was likely sold off for parts.   VIN:  WB1034809D6362783
