79 R100RS... the final drive was removed for new bearings and race. During this overhaul a new large seal and gasket were replaced. The drive is leaking ever so slowly through the tiny hole under the rear axle but I´m a little puzzled as to why? Anyone got any answers?
I'm I over filling? I typically fill to the bottom of the threads of the fill hole.

The final takes just 8oz. and the shaft approx. 5 oz. having overfilled them myself using the method you describe. You should drain and fill again and your issue may be gone.....
