There are a several vendors online that sell Airhead header replacement pipes - prices range from $90 - $300 US - what are the differences, if any?  (Motobins sells the Kenyan brand which are good quality) but wondering about the others.

I just installed a set of exhaust header pipes and mufflers from EME on a bike I am restoring.  They fit well no hassle.  On my rider bike I have had a set of their headers now for several years and a lot of miles, they have held up very much like the factory headers that rusted out after many years.

If by chance you decide to buy used, STAY AWAY from anything made by the now out of business Mac.  I found a new pair for a "good price" and they did not fit the bike at all. (I mean the header pipes).

I did have a pair of factory pipes re-chromed a long time ago and they turned out very nice.  Unfortunately with the rise in prices these days I was afraid it would cost as much as a new set.

Good luck with what you are going to do,  St.

Thanks Steve - I like Motobins quality but the shipping on everything is so out of site these days - will take a look at EME

The way the BMW parts system is these days, I begin to wonder if EME, Motobins, and even some of the BMW dealers are now using the same part suppliers.

I won't guarantee the EME parts I buy will last as long as "official" BMW parts will but, for the cost and my age, they may well out last me, LOL, and that is a good thing, less of a bite out of my wallet.  St.
