Is it normal for oil light to come on when idling and go off when revving engine?

It is common for the charge light to do that. The charge light is red, by the way. If the amber colored oil pressure light is doing that, do not ride the bike any further until the issue is resolved. Do a web search for a topic called " the $2000 o-ring".
