Starting Friday, September 11th through Sunday September 13th, Rich and I will be hosting our friends and Airheads. As usual, we will provide all the fun and frivolity we can muster, peppered with plenty of food and drink options. This is a special year for us as we have expanded our camping options. Last October we hired a neighbor to build a structured pond in the SW corner of our property, adjacent to the woods. With all the snow we had over the winter, plus the spring rains, the pond is filling up nicely. We live near the town of Spring Hill and were able to tap into some nice spring water that we cannot wait to dive into. Fish will be coming soon and maybe, if we’re lucky, the zipline from the shop to the pond will be installed by then, if you dare to try it. The grass will be filling in nicely so the entire rim of the pond, which is FLAT, will be available to pitch your tent, so you won’t be sliding downhill anymore. 😉

On Friday night only, we have a special live musical guest who I have been trying to hire for years, Mr. Dave Zollo. https://davezollo.com/ Dave used to attend and play at ole Dempster’s place near Iowa City back when Keith used to host some of the wildest Airhead events I’ve ever heard stories about since I started riding BMWs. Dave will be playing with his duo band for an evening of magic keyboards and feet-stomping music.

If you plan to come, please shoot me an email or text. It’s not mandatory to let me know, but it’s always nice to have a headcount, if possible. Feel free to share with anyone who might be interested. We have 7 acres and lots of options for those who need to plug in a CPAP or what have you. We have a shop with heat and A/C, plus the shop has a 3/4 bath with a large, walk-in shower. The shop also has a mezzanine kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator for anything you want to bring along to chill. For those newcomers, you may stay over Sunday evening after we take a ride starting sometime after breakfast to spend the day riding around some Iowa twisties with a few stops along way. However, please note our on-site auto repair business opens right at 8am Monday morning, so be prepared to ride off into the sunrise if you choose to stay over. FYI, Rich and I are planning to hit the Pure Stodge Iowa Rally the following weekend (https://purestodge.org), if anyone is interested in meeting us there and cannot make our Campout.

Our homestead is located in rural Iowa and not actually in the city of Indianola. Punch in our address on the GPS and see that we are directly south of the Des Moines metro area about 6 miles or around 13 minutes south of the DSM Airport.
