• Find and contact your local "Air Marshal". They may be having or planning a tuning clinic for this spring. That's something you'll want to attend. 

• First thing to learn is that you can't believe all the info in old tuning and owners manuals. The info was correct when they were written, but a lot of things have changed...
- Leaded gas is gone, so carb settings may have changed. Strobe time your ignition at full advance (not idle).
- Tire pressures are about 10% higher due to changes in tire design.
- 20W50 really is the best all-around motorcycle oil, but it must contain the "zinc package", like Valvoline VR-1.
- Multi-weight synthetic gear oils will improve gearbox shifting, reduce drive shaft wear, and help final drives run cooler.
