78 R100/7 NO lo or hi beam headlight, flash-to-pass works as does everything else.
REPLACED headlight relay, no change so apparently that's not the problem. What IS?
This bike is a lights-on with the ignition switch, so no headlight switch. I've been told that the headlight relay deactivates the headlight while the started is engaged...if that's true, I don't think it's done that since I've had the bike (3 years). Can I/should I wire around the relay & eliminate it altogether? I'm not gifted with electronics knowledge, so it has to be fairly simple.
Any help is much appreciated.
Problem was a munched/cut/broken wire (Black wire from headlight relay). Wire repaired. I now have a used headlight relay AND an ignition switch to sell CHEAP as replacements were not needed...
