Rat Patrol.....relocated a huge Rock Marmot from my Summer place across the Stillwater River and the Yellowstone River...he'll need a boat to get back here!....Poor guy, the sidecar ride literally scared the CRAP out of him. Luckily a towel was the main fatality.

Picked this beauty up this summer. Euro spec '94 R80RT. I am the 2nd owner. Nice German gal sold it to me for a good price. Gonna rebuild carbs this winter. It needs it badly.

Back on an Airhead because it followed me home, was 11 years in storage with several things not functioning: front brakes, electrical gremlins, instrument lights plus neglect.

this is a 74 R75/6 with 34K miles on it, so I fixed most things then took it on a 10 hour, 320 km ride from Victoria to the Island West Coast, latter half of which was in the heavy rain.

Needless to say several other items showed up on this trip like the headlight relay dying and the rear brake disappearing.

But Airheads are mean to be ridden far and hard and as I've been riding and wrenching iron for the last 60 years why quit now.

This is one great site and glad I joined

Here's mine, as captured by my co-worker as I rode to work with my dog on the back. (no animals were harmed in the filming of this...)

and in a better picture.

81 G/S w/ 42K
Same bike with addt'l tanks, fender and battery covers. The dark blue is the original paint, as the bike was delivered in 1981. Freshly painted PD tank to complete the outfits.
Recently added 88 GS front end and wheel.

75 90S All original paint/parts, 25K,
Just picked this up on consignment from Morton's BMW in December 2019.
Replaced nearly all the seals (rear main, oil pump push rod, trans out put among others), new SH bearings, rebuilt calipers and front forks.

Hope to make the big super tech session next winter.

Cheers, from the Arkansas Ozarks!
