Here's my old Airhead after the droopy kickstand got lodged in the rungs of my M/C ramp (and gravity took complete command).

As U can plainly see, it's a well-used '75 R90S. I had just brought the expired-licensed beast back from the shop. It now resides in Huntsville; hope to get it licensed very shortly.

Then I can take it to the Northern Alabama Vintage Motorcycle Club weekly gathering at Straight to Ale (on Campus 805) each Tuesday.

So many things to do after relocating to HSV and so little time!
Ciao! HSV-Phil

Just took an impromptu trip to Oregon, from Petaluma, CA, visited the folks on the coast, and then rode to Portland for Oregon Brewers Festival. Camped in Oxbow Regional Park. Nice little trip on the RS.

Rear view from the barstool in Florence...

Ouch, Had similar ramps from my ATV. Got new punch plate ones because of that reason. I was always worried my Converse would get caught up in the rungs and I'd be underneath it.

Nice !! Every Umpa Lumpa I know wants that exact bike.

Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.

Just added a 'new' member to the family. Not to be out-done, the Mrs now has a bigger clone of my R90S. It's a converted '82 R100CS {began life as an RS}.

HSV-Karen just procured her own Airhead (to complement her hubby's). Now we can tour our neck of the woods in northern AL & south-central Tenn in style. Looking forward to some cooler temps as the leaves begin to fall.

Hers began life as an '82 R100RS; later evolving into a pretty R100CS.
His began life as a Silver Smoke R90S in Baltimore in 1975. The shippers for the US Army in Felixstowe GB caused me to replace all the colored parts into Daytona Orange circa 1989...

Guess Mrs K has a good excuse to join the club now! :cheer:
Ciao! HSV-Phil + HSV-Karen
