As a proud owner of a clean running and looking SWB R75/5, I am concerned, especially, about long downhills, especially loaded, two up.  
I have seen gorgeous R90X disc brake conversions, even single disc that are undoubtedly far superior to the slash six stock disc brake that replaced the dual leading shoe on the slash five brake.  
Unfortunately, the more I research, the more impossible it seems to convert my /5 to disc.

1. Fork width, need triple tree from/6,7, etc.

2. My front wheel with SS spokes won’t work.

3. Need fork legs that accept disc brake. 

4.  Front fender no longer works.

5.   Incredible fork brace no longer works.

6.  My tanks won’t work with under tank stuff.

7. Who knows?  I may spend lots and find it is not possible to still have my beautiful 75/5 (practically), with a FUNCTIONING disc brake.

has ANYONE done this- on a 75/5?

75/6 is EASY compared to the 75/5.
