Hi all,

I hope this is a good place for this question ~ I'm looking for a competent Airhead Mechanic recommendation in the central or northern part of the state (lower peninsula). Thank you. Al

Contact your Air Marshal.

Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.

Go on FaceBook and do a search: "BMW Airheads". Several groups will pop up, and you can join any or all of them. Once a member, post your question(s) there, and within minutes you'll begin to receive info and suggestions. There may or may not be a qualified mechanic nearby, but you will likely get your answer sooner than later. Keep checking your thread for a few days, as there's usually stragglers who don't check their FB daily. Then too, several gurus give freely of advice, and you may gain confidence sufficient to tackle some of the work yourself. Good luck!

They are few and far in between. You may have to look beyond your home area and be willing to trailer your bike several hours to get to a shop. It also depends on what you need. Some small independent shops can do basic stuff. More "technical" repairs may require very specific experience/knowledge.
