Can you put on bar end weights with the heated grips? I could pull the grips off and look, but if it's the same system as my old K75S it won't work. I think the wiring for the grips needs the opening for the bars.

Thanks

To my knowledge, not with the stock BMW grip heaters. The wire from the external heater snakes from the end of the bar down through to the center.

Years ago there was a "plug type" heater on Ebay that filled the void inside the bar, heating the bar and grip. Those could be set slightly deeper allowing both to co-exist.

Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.

Great. I get a lot of vibration and will try adding bar end weights. Use them on my R90 /6 and I think it helps. The PD is very "high strung" and I mostly feel it through the bars and saddle.

It does require cutting the grips at the ends, so before I mess them up (or take the trouble to remove)...

thanks very much.
