I’d seen those lamps on another site, can’t recall where. And while reviews were generally favorable, I did note a small but consistent number of complaints about longevity.
I just now looked at a bulb sold by Cyclops, I am hoping to get an opinion by someone who’s actually used it. I’m also wanting to add a set of their driving/fog lights eventually, after making a few other electrical modifications - plus getting permission from my financial advisor/wife.

I have had the Cyclops bulb in my ‘78 R100 for probably 4-5 years. Daytime visibility is outstanding. I don’t do riding at night any longer, so can’t comment there. When I adjusted the headlight aim after installing the bulb, the pattern looked good with a nice cut-off at the top of the low beam. I did not remove any of the headlight internals. My headlight lives in my Hannigan fairing, so I have all kinds of room behind it. I’m sure that also helps with cooling. The Cyclops seems to be an excellent product. The wire between B+ and the starter motor if you replace this with a bigger gauge wire will transform things and make new ground wire go from battery to engine mount
