Back when airheads were the norm, somebody, (Luftmeister maybe) made metal guards for the header pipes and the muffler under the passenger peg. It seems that all ladies shoes and boots have foam rubber soles now and every time my wife rides somewhere with me I end up with melted shoe sole on my muffler. Probably a long shot but does anyone make those muffler protectors now?

yes, they were made by Luftmeister, not available for the last few decades. I had 4 new sets this spring, sold all of them on ebay, I think thats the best place to look for them.
